Celebrating 50: Commemorating Fifty Years of Community Health Centers. The community health center movement started in 1965 at Columbia Point, Massachusetts. The national commemoration of this anniversary came full circle when the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers hosted an event at the Edward M. Kennedy Library at the UMass campus just a half-mile away. The event program included a brief history of five decades of community health care.
“Redefining Clinical Research in the Age of Genomic Science” in Life Sciences Leader is an article about a nonprofit oncology research collaborative launched in Cambridge, Mass., in 2014. The organization, which Tom helped incorporate, came up short for reasons explained in the article.
2020 Annual Report, Quincy Asian Resources, Inc., Quincy, Mass. This immigrant services organization celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2021. Its growing programs more than met the challenges of a pandemic, echoing its survival through previous challenges. Their annual report highlights QARI’s ability to adapt to a changing world in the same way it supports the immigrants it serves.
